今日は、リスナーからのリクエストじゃなくて、私の最近の話をします！

最近、私、財布を落としたんです！
財布：wallet
落とす：to drop something
本当にびっくりしました！財布を落としたのは生まれて初めてでした。
生まれて初めて：first time in my life
この前、バスで大学に行ったんです。
あ、そうそう、私、やっと大学院生になりました！
大学じゃなくて、「大学院」ですね。
大学はバチェラー、大学院はマスターとドクターの人が勉強するところです。
まぁ、でも私の大学院は大学と同じ場所にあります。
とにかく、この前バスで大学に行きました。
「新しい大学生活、楽しみだな〜嬉しいな〜るんるん」と思いながら、
バスの中で友達とチャットをしたり、本を読んだりしました。
で、大学に着いてからかばんの中を見たら「財布がない！！！」ということに気が付きました。
それからすぐに、iPhoneのアプリでデビットカードを止めて、大学の用事が終わったあとですぐに家に帰りました。
止める：to stop
用事：errand
終わる：to finish
家に帰って、ちょっとベッドの中で落ち込みました。
落ち込む：to feel blue, to be depressed
「はぁ〜、盗まれたのかな〜。お金２万円も入ってたのに。新しい財布も買わなきゃ・・・はぁ〜」
私はこの時、財布は盗まれたと思っていたんです。
だから、1時間くらいベッドの中で落ち込んでいました。笑
でも、そのあとGoogleで「財布・落とした・どうする」って調べたんです。
そしたら、警察に行ったり、バスや電車の会社に電話したりした方がいいって書いてありました。
おお、そうか。バスで落としたかもしれない。
そう考えて、あまり期待してなかったけど、バス会社に電話してみました。
期待する：to expect
「あ、もしもし。あの、今日バスで大学に行った時に、財布を落としたかもしれないんですけど・・・」
「そうですか。どんな財布ですか？」
「えっと、色はグレーで、小さくて、Paul Smithというロゴが入っていて、中にデビットカードとか入っていて・・・」
「名前は・・・桃子さんですか？」
「あ、はい、そうです！！！！桃子です！！！」
「財布、ありますよ〜！」
そう言われて、本当にびっくりしました！
だって、盗まれたと思っていましたから。
急いでバス会社の事務所に行って、財布を受け取りました。
財布のカードも現金も全部無事でした。
現金：cash
無事：safe, there was no problem
誰も盗んでなんかいなかったんです。
Nobody stole it.
でも、本当にすごいですよね。
日本が安全な国だっていうことは知っていましたが、まさかカードも現金も大丈夫だったなんて、信じられませんでした。
みなさん、日本で財布をなくしたら、まずは警察に行きましょう。
警察で書類（document）を書いたら、見つかった時に連絡してもらえます。
それから、バスや電車の会社にも連絡してみましょう。
すぐに見つかるかもしれませんよ。

I recently lost my wallet!

I was really surprised! It was the first time in my life that I dropped my wallet.
I took the bus to college the other day.
Oh, yeah, I'm finally a graduate student!
Not a university, but a "graduate school".
University is for bachelor students, and graduate school is for master and doctor students.
Well, but my graduate school is in the same place as the university.
Anyway, I took a bus to the university the other day.
I chatted with friends and read books on the bus.
And when I arrived at the university, I looked in my bag and saw that my wallet was missing! I realized that this was the case.
I then immediately stopped my debit card using an app on my iPhone and went home right after I was done with my college stuff.

I went home and got a little depressed in bed.

I thought my wallet was stolen at that time.
So I was depressed in bed for about an hour. LOL.
But then I looked up "wallet, dropped, what to do" on Google.
Then it said I should go to the police or call the bus or train company.
Oh, okay. I might have dropped it on the bus.
Thinking that, I called the bus company, though I didn't expect much.

Oh, hello. Um, I think I may have dropped my wallet when I took the bus to the university today..."
I see. What kind of wallet?"
Well, it's gray in color, small, with the Paul Smith logo on it, with a debit card or something inside..."

I was really surprised when you said that!
Because I thought it was stolen.
I rushed to the bus company office and picked up my wallet.
All the cards and cash in my wallet were safe.
Cash: CASH
Safe: safe, there was no problem
No one had stolen anything.
Nobody stole it.
But it really is amazing, isn't it?
I knew Japan was a safe country, but I couldn't believe that my credit card and cash were safe.
If you lose your wallet in Japan, go to the police first.
If you fill out a document at the police station, they will contact you when they find it.
Also, contact the bus and train companies.
They may find it soon.
