今日は３.11、日本で大きい地震と津波が起こって、福島の原発の爆発があった日ですね。

今日は、会話の中でよく使うことわざについて話します。
ことわざは英語で Proverbですね。
ことわざは、生活の中でよく起こることを説明している短いフレーズのことです。
例えば、「失敗は成功のもと」。
失敗：failure
成功：success
もと：origin
= Failure teaches success.
これはことわざですね。
友達が仕事で失敗して落ち込んでいる時に「大丈夫！失敗は成功のもとでしょ。次はうまくいくよ」とアドバイスできます。
失敗する：to make a mistake
落ち込む：to be depressed / be sad
