今日のトピックは「ボウル」です。
みなさん「ボウル」と聞いたら、何をイメージしますか？
うんうん。サッカーの「ボール」？いえいえ、違いますね〜。
「ボウル」と「ボール」は少し違います。。。
カタカナの「ボウル」は英語で「bowl」です。
これは、キッチンでケーキとかサラダを作るために使う「ボウル」ですね。
「ボール」は英語で「ball」。
サッカーとか野球で使う球を「ボール」といいます。
発音はほとんど一緒だけど、全然ちがう言葉ですね〜。おもしろいでしょ。
でも、「ボウル」の中にご飯とかお肉を入れたら、これは「どんぶり」になります。
