今日は日本の最近のファッションについて話しますよ〜。
今、日本ではどんなファッションが流行っていると思いますか？
流行る / 流行っている (はやっている) = on trend, in fashion, popular
日本ではね、最近はオーバーサイズの服が人気らしいです。
服：clothes
普通よりちょっと大きいジャケットとか、大きいセーターとか、大きいコートとかを着ています。
長いスカートを履いて、大きいセーターを着て、またその上から大きめのコートを着るんですね。
（大きめ / 小さめ = 普通より少し大きい, 普通より少し小さい）
なんかね〜。私もその流行を追いかけて、オーバーサイズのセーターを買ってみたけど、あんまり似合わないんですよね。
流行：trend
流行を追いかける：follow the trend
似合わない：doesn’t fit me
私がオーバーサイズの服を着たら、いつもより太って見えるんですよ。
太る：to get fat
太って見える = looks fat
だからあんまり、オーバーサイズの服は買わないんです。
あとね、厚底の靴が流行っています。
Thick-soled shoes are in fashion.
厚底の靴は、私が中学生くらいに流行っていたんですが、最近また流行り始めたみたいですね。
Thick-soled shoes were popular when I was in junior high school, but they seem to have come back into fashion recently.
最近、レトロなスタイルも流行っていますよね〜。おもしろい。

Today we're going to talk about recent fashion in Japan.
Fashionable / trendy = on trend, in fashion, popular
I heard that oversized clothes are popular in Japan these days.
Clothes: Clothes
They wear jackets, sweaters, and coats that are a little bigger than normal.
You wear a long skirt, a large sweater, and then a large coat over that.
(Bigger / smaller = a little bigger than normal, a little smaller than normal)
I don't know. I tried to follow the trend and bought an oversized sweater, but it didn't fit me very well.
Fad: trend
Follow the trend: follow the trend
Doesn't fit me: doesn't fit me
When I wear oversized clothes, they make me look fatter than usual.
Get fat: to get fat
Looks fat = looks fat
That's why I don't buy oversized clothes very often.
Also, thick-soled shoes are in fashion.
