今日の天気は晴れ。最低気温はマイナス２度！寒いですね〜。
今月はエアコンやヒーターをたくさん使ったので、電気代が高くなってしまいました。

今日のトピックは、「日本のパン屋さん」です！
みなさん、日本のパン屋さんに行ったことありますか？
日本のパン、食べてみたことありますか？どう？おいしかった？
日本には、色々なおもしろいパンが売っていますよね〜。
例えばカレーパン。パンの中にカレーが入っていて、そのパンはドーナツみたいに揚げてあります。
カレーが入っている：it has curry inside

あとは、メロンパン。メロンパンの「メロン」は、フルーツの「メロン」という意味ですけど、メロンパンにメロンは入っていません。笑

これは、パンの上に甘いクッキーが乗っていて、そのクッキーの形がメロンみたいだから「メロンパン」と呼ばれているんです。

他にも、焼きそばがパンの中に入っている「焼きそばパン」とか、
あんこ（sweet bean paste）が入っている「あんパン」とか・・・

日本のパンは、一般的にふわふわしています。

ヨーロッパのパンは、たぶんそんなにふわふわしていないと思いますが・・・
どうして日本のパンはふわふわしてると思いますか？
なぜかというと、日本の主食はだいたいご飯（お米）ですよね。

だから、日本人は朝ごはんとか、おやつとしてパンを食べます。
おやつ：snack
でもヨーロッパの主食は、パンとかじゃがいもですよね。
砂糖とかクリームが入っているふわふわのパンより、小麦粉とイーストで作った硬いパンの方が、長持ちするんです。
