みなさん、日本語をどうやって勉強していますか？教科書を使って勉強していますか？
教科書：textbook ですね
教科書を使って日本語を勉強するのは、もちろん良いことなんですけどね。。。
たくさん勉強して、頑張ってJLPTの試験に合格して、よし、準備ができたから日本に行くぞ！と思って日本に行ったら、あれ？ネイティブの日本人の話し方が、JLPTのリスニングの人のと全然違うよ〜！と、そんな経験はありませんか？😂
Do you have such an experience? Like.. you have studied a lot, worked hard to pass the exam, and okay, finally you are ready to go to Japan! But you might think “oh wait… the native Japanese speaks completely differently! Different from that of JLPT listening’s ones!
普段から日本の映画とかドラマを見ている人ならたぶん分かると思いますが、教科書の日本語と普通のネイティブが話す日本語は時々ちょっと違いますよね。
今日はそれについて話そうと思います。

え〜、まずは自己紹介ですね。自己紹介は、self-introduction です。
自己紹介をする時、みなさんは何と言いますか？
「こんにちは、初めまして。私の名前は桃子です。京都から来ました。どうぞよろしくお願いします」でしょうか？
うーん、そうですね。これは、だめじゃないんですけど、この自己紹介は、新しい会社や学校に入って、みんなの前であいさつをする時の自己紹介みたいです。

その場合だったら、この自己紹介は大丈夫です。
でも、例えば友達のパーティに行って、知らない人がたくさんいて、なんだかカジュアルな雰囲気（雰囲気：atmosphere）だったら、この自己紹介はちょっと変ですね。ロボットみたいですから。
パーティとか飲み会で初めての人と話す時は、こんな感じです。

まず、「どうも」で始める人はけっこう多いと思います。
「どうも」は、「こんにちは」より少しカジュアルなので、パーティとか飲み会で初めて話す人には使ってもいいですよ。
それから、「私は京都から来ました」と言うのはちょっと変ですね。
相手の名前を聞いたり、どこから来たのかを質問したりしてから、自分のことを話す方が自然かなと思います。

それから「私の名前は」もほとんど使いません。いや、まったく使いません。
「どうも、桃子です」で十分、大丈夫です。

ちなみに「こんにちは」は、年上の人とかみんなの前で使うことが多いです。

あとは、授業（lesson）でも「こんにちは」を使うのは大丈夫です。
でも、もっと上の立場の人（person in upper position）と話す時は「こんにちは」はあまり使いません。
