2021年4月5日（月）今日の天気はくもりのち晴れ。朝は曇っていましたが、午後はとても暖かくて良い天気になりました。今日の最高気温は１６度です。風が少し冷たいかな。
今週はワーケーションで奈良に来ています。週末に車を運転して奈良に来ました。
京都より小さくて静かな町ですね。週末は鹿にも会えました。

今日のトピックは、「愛と恋」です。
もともとのリクエストは「初恋」だったんですが、私の初恋の話なんて全然おもしろくないと思うので、今日のトピックは少し変えて、「愛と恋」にしました。

みなさん、愛と恋の違いがわかりますか？英語では、愛も恋も、どちらも「love」ですね。でも日本語の「愛」と「恋」には大きな違いがあります。

もともとのリクエストだった「初恋」、これは、「初めての恋」という意味です。First loveですね。
初恋についてちょっとだけ話しますけど、全然おもしろくないですよ。笑
正直（honestly）、私に初恋の相手が誰だったかもよく覚えていませんが、たぶん保育園の頃の男友達です。私が３歳か４歳の頃ですね。保育園: nursery school, daycare
その男友達に、人生で初めてバレンタインのチョコレートをあげた、と思います。
でも、本当にその男の子を好きだったのかどうか、よく分かりません。その子がただ男の子で、一番仲が良くて、いつも一緒にいたから、普通に好きになるのは当たり前ですよね。
当たり前： natural, common, no doubt
でも、初めてバレンタインのチョコレートをあげたから、その人は私の初恋の人だったと思います。

さてさて、そんな話は置いといて・・・ （Let’s put it aside.）
話をもとに戻しましょう。Getting back to what I was talking about.
「愛」と「恋」の違いですね。
愛というのは、とても深い意味を持つ言葉です。深い：deep
例えば、自分の彼女や彼氏、家族、ペット、子供、それだけじゃなくて、自分の国とか、文化、色々な物を「愛する」ことができます。
愛する：to love
I love something/someone: 〜を愛している
だから、自分とデートしている人には「愛している」と言った方が自然ですね。
自分の子供やペットにも「愛している」と言うこともできます。
でも「恋する/ 恋をする」というのは、ちょっと違います。恋するというのは、愛するよりも少し軽い気持ちです。軽い：light
例えば、BTSに恋をする、というのは、「わ〜この人かっこいい！好き！」っていう感じですね。その人とずっと一緒にいたいとか、その人のために何でもしてあげたい、助けてあげたい、とは思っていません。
ただ、「きゃ〜 好き！」という気持ちだけです。
最初は「恋に落ちて」（fall in love）、その後でだんだん、少しずつ相手のことを知って、それからその人を「愛する」ようになるんですね。

ちなみに「恋人」と「愛人」は全然違うので、みなさん気をつけてくださいね。
恋＋人: 恋人は、彼氏とか彼女とか、付き合っている（デートしている）人のことです。
Someone whom you love as a boyfriend, girlfriend.
愛 + 人：愛人は、結婚しているのに他の人を好きになってしまった時、その人は愛人です。
Is a lover (mistress), whom you love even though you are married.
だから、自分の彼氏や彼女のことを「この人は私の愛人です！」と言わないように、気をつけてくださいね！
「愛人」って言ったら、みんなびっくりしますよ。
