「お付き合い」の意味は、dating です。
カップルが「好きです！付き合ってください！」と言って、「お付き合い」が始まります。
付き合う: to date, to go out
付き合っています: being a couple
始まる: to begin
日本では、一般的に付き合う前に「告白」をします。
一般的に：generally
告白: confession
何回か一緒にレストランで食事をしたり、映画を見に行ったり、公園を散歩したりして、デートを重ねますね。
その後で、「好きです！付き合ってください」と告白するんですよ。
何回か: a few times
食事する: to have a meal
映画を見に行く: to go to watch a movie
散歩する: to go around
告白する: to confess
〜を重ねる: to pile up/ stack
→ デートを重ねる: to repeat a date
で、告白した後で「はい、わたしも好きです！よろしくお願いします」という返事をもらったら、お付き合いスタートです！笑

ちなみに、「お付き合い」にはもう一つ、datingの他に違う意味がありますよ。
知っていますか？
これはね、例えば
「友達が買い物に行きたいらしいから、私もその買い物に付き合う」という使い方ができます。
買い物に付き合う、というのは、そんなに買い物をしたいわけじゃないけど一緒に行ってあげる、という意味です。
映画を見るのに付き合う。
飲みに行くのに付き合う。
などと言います。
そんなに行きたくないけど、友達とか家族が行きたいと言ってるから、行ってあげる。というニュアンスですね。
