2021年3月5日（金）今日は私の誕生日です！29歳になりました。
２０代最後の年です。２０代 = twenties Last year in my twenties.
私は昔から自分の誕生日が大好きなので、嬉しいです。久しぶりに日本で誕生日を過ごします。今まではチェコに住んでいましたからね。

ところでみなさん、「アラサー」という言葉を知っていますか？
アラサーは、おもしろいジャパングリッシュの１つです。Around thirties のことを、日本語で「アラサー」と言います。25歳から34歳までですね。
これはだいたい、良い意味よりは、悪い意味として使われることの方が多いです。
This term is used as slightly in a negative way more than in positive.
特に日本には、「２０代で結婚した方が幸せ」というステレオタイプがあるので、３０代になったら焦ってしまうことが多いです。焦る = be in a hurry
例えば、こんな感じです。「あ〜、私、もうアラサーになっちゃった。やばいよ〜。早く良い彼氏を見つけなきゃ」
もちろん人によりますが、自分のことを「アラサー」と言うと、ちょっと自虐的に聞こえますね。（自虐的 : self-torturing
ちなみに、「アラサー」「アラフォー」「アラフィフ」という言葉もあります。
６０歳は、日本語で「還暦」というので、６０代は「アラカン」といいます。
そのあとはもう、100歳に近い人のことを「アラヒャク」というらしいです。笑
この言葉は使ったことがありませんが、Wikipediaに書いてありました。

私も「アラサー」ですが、まだまだ自分は若いなと感じています。
29歳も楽しくがんばっていきたいと思います！

By the way, do you all know the word “Arasa”? Arasa is one of the interesting Japan Glish. Around thirties are called “Arasa” in Japanese. It’s from 25 to 34 years old. This is often used as a bad meaning rather than a good one. This term is used as slightly in a negative way more than in positive.
Especially in Japan, there is a stereotype that says, “I’m happier to get married in my twenties,” so I often get impatient when I’m in my thirties. Impatient = be in a hurry For example, it looks like this. “Oh, I’m already an Arasa. No way. I have to find a good boyfriend soon.” Of course, it depends on the person, but when you call yourself “Arasa”, it sounds a bit self-deprecating. (Self-deprecating: self-torturing By the way, there are also the words “Araser”, “Alafor” and “Arafif”. The 60-year-old is called “60th birthday” in Japanese, so the 60s is called “Arakan”. After that, it seems that people who are close to 100 years old are called “Arahak”. Lol I’ve never used this word, but it was written on Wikipedia.
