釣りをしたことがありますか？

日本は自然が豊かだから、釣りがとても人気です。

Fishing is very popular in Japan because the country is rich in nature.

自然：nature

豊か：rich

人気：popular

日本では、海と川と湖で釣りをすることができます。

In Japan, you can go fishing in the sea, rivers, and lakes.

海：sea

川：river

湖：lake

魚釣りで特に人気な場所は、北海道です。

北海道の自然はとても大きくて、色々な魚を釣ることができます。

Among fishing spots, Hokkaido is especially popular.The nature in Hokkaido is vast, and you can catch many kinds of fish.

特に：especially

場所：place, location

色々な：various

それから、九州や沖縄も人気です。

南の地域では、大きい魚やカラフルでおもしろい魚が釣れます。

Kyushu and Okinawa are also popular.In the southern regions, you can catch big fish and colorful, interesting ones.

南：south

地域：area

そして、滋賀県の琵琶湖も有名です。

Also, Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture is famous.

有名：famous

滋賀県は京都の近くの街です。

滋賀県に「琵琶湖」という日本で一番大きい湖があります。

Shiga Prefecture is a region near Kyoto.In Shiga, there is the largest lake in Japan, called “Lake Biwa.”

〜という：called

日本で一番大きい：the biggest in Japan

湖：lake

琵琶湖にも、釣りをする人がたくさんいますよ。

Many people enjoy fishing at Lake Biwa too.

みなさんはどこで魚を釣ってみたいですか？

〜してみる：to try to do

私は、、、実はあまり釣りが得意じゃないです。

As for me... actually, I'm not very good at fishing.

実は：actually

得意：be good at

だから私は、釣りができるレストランに行きます！

日本には、魚釣りができるレストランがあります。

レストランの名前は「ざうお」です。

「ざうお」は、東京の渋谷、新宿、目黒などにあります。

その他の町、たとえば大阪や福岡、名古屋にもありますよ。

レストランの中vに、大きい水槽があります。

So instead, I go to restaurants where you can fish!

In Japan, there are restaurants where you can catch fish yourself.One such restaurant is called “Zauo.”

“Zauo” has locations in Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Meguro in Tokyo.They also have restaurants in other cities, such as Osaka, Fukuoka, and Nagoya.

Inside the restaurant, there is a large fish tank.

水槽：fish tank, water tank

水槽の中に、色々な魚が泳いでいます。

大きい魚や小さい魚、あとは海老（えび）や貝もいます。

In the tank, many different fish are swimming.You can find big fish, small fish, shrimp, and clams.

海老：prawn

貝：clam

そして、レストランで釣竿（つりざお）を借ります。

At the restaurant, you rent a fishing rod.

釣竿：fishing rod

借りる：to rent

そして、頑張って魚を釣ります！

魚が釣れたら、魚をレストランのスタッフに渡します。

Then, you do your best to catch a fish!

Once you catch a fish, you hand it over to the restaurant staff.

渡す：to give, to hand over

そして、どうやって魚を食べたいか、好きな調理法を伝えます。

Then, you tell them how you’d like your fish to be cooked.

調理法：way of cooking

釣った魚を、揚げたり、炒めたり、焼いたり、スープにしたり、そのまま刺身にしたりしてもらえます。

You can ask to have the fish deep-fried, stir-fried, grilled, made into soup, or served raw as sashimi.

揚げる：to deep-fry

炒める：to stir-fry

焼く：to grill

スープにする：to make it into soup

刺身にする：to serve as Sashimi (raw fish)

美味しそうですよね〜。なんかお腹が空いてきました。
