今日のトピックは、「異動（いどう）」です。
異動（いどう）というのは、to transfer an employee to the different city です。
人事異動（じんじいどう）する、と言うこともあります。
えっと、今日は日本のちょっと変な風習について話します。
変な：weird
風習（ふうしゅう）:custom
日本の会社、特に大きい会社では、よくこの「異動」があります。
異動の命令があったら、会社員の人はすぐに違う町に引っ越さなきゃいけません。
異動の命令：an order for the transfer
すぐに：immediately
引っ越す：to move
例えば、今は4月ですが、突然上司に「6月から大阪の事務所で働いてください」と言われます。
4月に異動の命令があったら、6月にはもう引っ越さなきゃいけないんです。
突然：suddenly
上司：manager, boss
事務所: office
しかも、大きい会社の場合は、国内だけではなく海外にも行かされることがあります。
しかも：moreover
国内：domestic
海外：overseas
例えば「6月からアメリカで３年働いてね」とか「タイに行ってください」「あなたは5月からフランスの事務所で働いてください」とか、、、
家族がいる人にとっては、ちょっと大変ですよねえ。
じゃあなんで日本の会社では、よくこの「異動」があるんでしょうか？
どうしてだと思いますか？
その理由の一つとして、日本では転職が一般的ではないからです。
理由：reason
転職：to change the job
一般的：common, normal, general
会社に入ったら、同じ会社で30年から40年くらい働くのが普通です。
その場合、同じ事務所でずっと同じ仕事をしていたら、新しいスキルを身につけるのは難しいです。
だから、会社はその会社員を何回か異動させるんです。
それから、ずっと同じ事務所で仕事をしている人は、その仕事がつまらないと感じてやめてしまうかもしれません。
だから、会社は異動させます。
でも、この異動システムは、会社員の人にとってあまり良くないと思います。
何回も引っ越したら自分の生活が安定しないし、友達を作るのも難しいし、子どもがいたら子どもの学校を探すのも大変です。
だから私はこの異動システムは良くないな〜と思っていますが、みなさんはどう思いますか？
