みなさん、元号って何か知っていますか？
元号は「明治」とか「昭和」とか「平成」のことですね。
日本でしか使われない時代の名前を「元号」といいます。
元号 is a name of the era used only in Japan.

元号は、645年から使われ始めました！長い歴史があるんですねぇ。
元号は普通、新しい天皇が即位する時に変わります。

「明治天皇」が亡くなって、次の新しい天皇が即位した時に「明治」から「昭和」という元号に変わりました。そして天皇の名前も「昭和天皇」になりました。
みなさん、今の元号の名前を知っていますか？
今の元号は「令和」です。
2021年現在は、令和３年です！
じゃあ、令和１年はいつですか？
2019年です！う〜ん。分かりにくいし、めんどくさいですね〜！
